Ex 2 - S.O.V.T.

Instruction

  • This exercise works to expand your range, while smoothing out and eliminating any inconsistencies or breaks that might be present in the transitional areas of your voice.

  • The wide scale pattern helps you become familiar with the changing sensations of resonance as you glide from chest voice through middle voice and finally up into your head voice register.  

  • Choose the SOVT filter that works best for you: 

  1. Lip Roll

  2. Tongue Trill

  3. Raspberry 

  4. Trumpet Sound

  5. Singing Straw

  6. Voiced consonants, m, n, ng, v, or z
